Anchor Mental Wellness primarily focuses on psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Many patients benefit from a combination of medication management and psychotherapy, and we are happy to collaborate with your therapist or provide referrals when appropriate.
Are appointments in person or virtual?
All appointments are conducted through secure telehealth video visits. This allows patients to receive psychiatric care from the comfort and privacy of their home anywhere within California.
How long are appointments?
Appointment lengths vary depending on the type of visit. Typical appointment times include:
- Initial psychiatric evaluation: approximately 60 minutes
- Follow-up medication management visits: approximately 20–30 minutes
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled through the online booking system on our website. If you have difficulty scheduling online, please contact us and we will assist you.
What should I expect during my first appointment?
During your initial psychiatric evaluation, we will review your mental health history, current symptoms, treatment goals, and any previous medications or treatments you have tried. This information helps guide the development of a personalized treatment plan.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible. This allows the appointment time to be offered to another patient who may need care.
Do you prescribe medication?
Yes. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Lynee George provides medication management when clinically appropriate as part of an individualized treatment plan.
Is telehealth secure?
Yes. All appointments are conducted using secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms designed to protect your privacy and confidentiality.
What if I am experiencing a mental health emergency?
Anchor Mental Wellness does not provide emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
